4K streaming requirements
A 4K picture has about four times as many pixels as Full HD. To see the difference, several parts must work together.
The connection
Plan for about 30 Mbps for that TV, sometimes up to 40 Mbps, on top of what the rest of the household uses. In a shared home, 50 Mbps or more is good. A cable is steadier than Wi-Fi.
The TV and the HDMI port
Your TV must support 4K, and the device must be plugged into an HDMI input that supports it. On some TVs only one port is marked 4K or HDMI 2.0. Check the TV manual or the labels beside the ports.
The device
A stick or box must support 4K output. Older entry-level models only reach Full HD. Memory matters as well: a device with 2 GB or less may struggle with large lists.
The content
Not every channel or title is available in 4K. Many are Full HD or lower. A 4K setup does not upgrade standard definition content.
Choosing the picture quality
If your connection is limited, choose HD instead. A stable HD stream looks better than a 4K stream that keeps stopping.
FAQ

Why does 4K look the same as HD to me?
The title may not be in 4K, or the TV picture setting may not be using the full resolution.
